The organizers of Sweden’s top angling fair have finally decided the plan its future as an annual event. The owner of Sportfiskemanssan, the Sweden Tackle Trade Association (SPOF pole), had already agreed to run the event in Stockholm every other year until 2016. However, shows for the interim years have been shrouded in doubt

SPOF pole CEo Klas Elm said that the association as agreed a deal with exhibition and conference organizer Elmia to stage the show next year in Jankoping.

Last year’s show was crucial in the decision to go ahead and Elm said:“ We have to consider the benefits for a trade organization of running the show every year. The decision has mainly been delayed for so long because SPOF pole does not meet that often during the year.”

A best-ever attendance of 11,267 visited the 3-day 2011 show in Jankoping-going a long way to persuading SPOF pole to give it another way

Elm said: “ Last year’s was a big success-it was everything we had hoped for. Bearing that in mind, we have decided to run Sportfiskemanssan for the foreseeable future.”

Elm added that he hoped to more than 12,000 visitors would attend next year’s event and expected all major brands-plus a lot of newcomers to exhibit
