A fishing line is braided from at least three, and up to 8 or 16 synthetic fibres, we call it braid line. 4-braid is the most popular PE braid on the market. Essentially, three factors influence the characteristics of a braided fishing line: the synthetic fiber used for braid, the way of braiding, and the surface treatment. These determine strength, durability, abrasion resistance and of course the price.
Braid line is becoming increasing popular in recent year, due to its high strain and low diameter compared with mono line. It is good to use braid line in many fishing conditions.
